Presidential Commissions

Commission on Citizenship

The Commission on citizenship was established by the Decree of the President dated February 28, 1992 in order to consider interim materials about the admission and restoration, abandonment of Kazakhstani citizenship.

The Commission is a consultative and advisory body under the President of Kazakhstan.

The Commission's activity is determined by Regulations, approved by the Decree of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated October 10, 2006, No. 198

The Commission consists of the chairman, his deputy, heads of Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Internal Affairs, Ministry of National Economy, Ministry of Justice, Ministry of Health and Social Development, Committee of National Security, Parliament deputies, representatives of the Ministry of Education and Science, 11 persons in total.

The Chairman of the Commission is the Secretary of State of Kazakhstan.
