President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev received the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan Jeyhun Bayramov, who arrived in Astana on an official visit. Welcoming the guest, President Tokayev emphasized the importance of this meeting for further strengthening multifaceted interstate ties.
– Your visit is of great significance in terms of advancing our cooperation with fraternal Azerbaijan. Relations with Azerbaijan are of utmost importance to us. We regard your country as a reliable strategic partner and ally, – the President stressed.
In turn, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan expressed gratitude for the traditionally warm reception and highlighted the dynamic development of bilateral relations. Taking the opportunity, Jeyhun Bayramov expressed gratitude to the Kazakh side on behalf of President Ilham Aliyev and the people of Azerbaijan for their prompt assistance in connection with the tragedy involving the crash of an Azerbaijan Airlines plane in Aktau.
During the meeting, the parties discussed the prospects for further cooperation in the fields of trade, investment, digitalization, transit, and transportation.
