Nurlan S. BAIBAZAROV
He was born on October 10, 1975.
He graduated from the Kazakh State Academy of Management with a degree in Organization of Banking. He has an Executive MBA degree.
He began his career in 1997 in the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Kazakhstan, where he held the position of specialist, chief specialist, head of department in the Budget Department and the Department of State Borrowing.
From 2004 to 2011, he held the positions of Head of the Department of Agency Service for Projects, Managing director for Investment Projects, Director of the Corporate Development Department, Corporate Secretary of DBK.
From 2013 to 2016 – Director of the Department of Economic Development of the Ministry of National Economy of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
From 2016 to November 2022, he was a member of the Board of Directors and Chairman of the Management Board of JSC Industrial Development Fund.
From November 2022 to October 2023 - member of the Board of Directors and Chairman of the Management Board of the Development Bank of Kazakhstan JSC.
From October 2023 to February 2024 – member of the Board of Directors and Chairman of the Management Board of JSC National Managing Holding Baiterek.
From February to December 2024 – Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of National Economy of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
From February to October 2025 – Adviser to the Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan on economic affairs.
On October 15, 2025, by order of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, appointed Head of the Investment and Trade Department of the Presidential Administration.
