Forum dedicated to the 25th anniversary of Kazakhstan's independence and the 20th anniversary of the first graduates of the National Higher School of State Administration (NHSSA) was organized by the Association of NHSSA Alumni, the regional hub of civil service, the Embassy of France in Kazakhstan, akimat of Astana and other organizations.
The aim of the event is to discuss global trends and ways to modernize the country's political and public life and to ensure unity of Kazakh society and to achieve the strategic objectives of the independent state’s growth.
The forum was attended by heads of state bodies and national companies, NHSSA graduates, as well as teachers and masters of Nazarbayev University and the Academy of Public Administration under the President of Kazakhstan.
G.Abdykalikova spoke at the opening of the forum, stressing that among the five institutional reforms put forward by the Head of State the first direction is formation of a professional state apparatus. One of the key achievements of independent Kazakhstan is creation of the effective system of civil servants training. NHSSA has made a very important contribution to the formation of a national political training model having graduated 82 government officials of a new breed.
The Chairman of the Steering Committee of the Regional Hub in the sphere of public service A. Baimenov, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of France to Kazakhstan F.Étienne and Director of Research and Education Center ‘Green Academy’ B.Esekina have also addressed the Forum.
As a result, practical recommendations have been developed to improve the policy of public service in the country and educating managers of a new breed.
