President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev has delivered his State of the Nation Address to the People of Kazakhstan “Kazakhstan’s Current Priorities in a New Historical Cycle.”

At the beginning of his address, the Head of State emphasized that, even in such turbulent times, Kazakhstan has resolutely embarked on a new era of development, implementing large-scale political and socio-economic reforms.

“Citizens must have access to all the social infrastructure they need. This is a key condition for improving their quality of life. We will therefore focus our efforts primarily on infrastructure development. As I have said before, Kazakhstan must become one vast construction site. This is not merely a matter of individual projects but a full-scale construction across every region of the country,” the President stated.

Kassym-Jomart Tokayev identified the building of a Just, Strong, Clean and Progressive Kazakhstan as a key priority.

“I am deeply convinced that our historic responsibility to future generations is not simply to leave money in bank accounts, but to build and bequeath a fundamentally different country: technologically advanced, with a strong, competitive economy, modern infrastructure and high living standards, where every citizen has the opportunity to fulfil their potential. This is our principal task – indeed, our mission of historic significance,” the Head of State said.

Addressing the people of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev put forward a number of initiatives aimed at further socio-economic development, infrastructure modernization, strengthening the country’s transport, logistics and energy potential, accelerating industrial and technological renewal, increasing agricultural productivity and ensuring the rational use of water resources. The initiatives also focus on improving the investment climate and business environment, unlocking the potential of Alatau city, supporting small and medium-sized enterprises, implementing the Digital Qazaqstan strategy and promoting the widespread adoption of artificial intelligence, developing the digital economy, curbing inflation, improving financial, budgetary and tax policies, modernizing social support and education systems, enhancing the effectiveness of public administration, and firmly embedding the principle of “Law and Order” throughout society.
