The Commission was established by Decree No. 194 of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated October 9, 2006, «On the Competition for the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan’s «Altyn Sapa» Award and the Republican Contest and Exhibition «The Best Product of Kazakhstan»»
The main mission of the Commission for Awarding the Titles of Laureates of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan’s «Altyn Sapa» Award and the Titles of Diploma Winners of the Republican Contest and Exhibition «The Best Product of Kazakhstan» (hereinafter referred to as the «Commission») is, on a competitive basis, to determine the winners of the Head of State’s Award for achieving significant results in the field of product and/or service quality, ensuring their safety, as well as implementing highly effective quality management methods within organizations.
Main Tasks:
1) consideration of the materials submitted by participants who have applied to participate in the competitions for the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan’s «Altyn Sapa» Award and the titles of diploma winners of the Republican Contest and Exhibition «The Best Product of Kazakhstan» (hereinafter referred to as the «competitions»);
2) evaluation of the competition participants and selection of applicants;
3) determination of the laureates and diploma winners of the competitions.
The functions of the Commission’s working body are assigned to the National Chamber of Entrepreneurs of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The Commission is an advisory and consultative body under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan and is composed of heads of government agencies, quality management specialists, and representatives of public associations. The Chairman of the Commission shall be, ex officio, the Head of the Presidential Administration of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
Meetings of the Commission are held as necessary, but at least once every six months. A meeting of the Commission shall be deemed quorate if at least two-thirds of the total number of Commission members participate.
